DESCRIPTION
Where:
Participants meet via their own transportation at the Visitor’s Centre Cabin at 10 am. The cabin is located at km 26, 1 hour drive from Rapid des Joachims, Qc. The road is gravel so give yourself lots of time and travel slow.
Outline:
After a brief introduction at the visitor’s cabin we will make our way to the Grande Chute headwaters and set up our gear. Angela will explain the logistics of plein air painting setup for the newbies and do a quick demo painting. Participants can chose to watch or get started on their own masterpieces. The goal is to metaphorically immerse yourself in those powerful moving waters of the Dumoine!
You will sketch then paint your own vision with Angela on hand to offer tips and techniques. The small group size means participants will each have one on one time with their guide. Artists should be somewhat familiar with painting but can be new to painting outdoors. There is also an opportunity for people to hike a bit along the river for taking future reference photos with a guide for painting at home.
